Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources, represented by Waffer Loyalty Programme for Discounts to the Employees of the Government of Sharjah, signed a joint cooperation agreement with Singapore Airlines, yesterday Thursday at the Directorate’s headquarters in Al-Liyah, to add it to the Programme as one of the major private sector companies and one of the most important global airlines. The agreement was signed by H.E. Dr. Tariq Sultan Bin Khadim, Member of Sharjah Executive Council, Chairman of Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources, representing Waffer Programme, and Christian Stenkewitz, General Manager of Gulf & Middle East at Singapore Airlines, representing Singapore Airlines.
The signing ceremony was attended by Saif Duaifes Al Muhairi, Director of the Chairman Office at the Directorate, Jawaher Saif Al Oud, Director of Events and Activities and Director of Waffer Programme and Abdullah Yousif Al Ali, Director of Strategic Planning Office, and from Singapore Airlines: Fouad Ahmed Khan, Gulf & Offline Sales Manager and Syed Khalid Qadir, Senior Account Manager.
The agreement grants the employees of the Government of Sharjah, holders of Waffer card and their family members, special discounts on tickets prices for economy, business and first-class tickets, to be offered through the travel agencies authorised to provide discounts.
All the beneficiaries of Waffer card, the employees of the entities, authorities and institutions of the Government of Sharjah listed in the Programme, will benefit from this Agreement, as they will be able to purchase travel tickets for them and for their family members at special discounts through Singapore Airlines.
In turn, Waffer Programme seeks to establish strategic partnerships and conclude savings contracts that serve the government employees, and find special incentives and services that would contribute to their happiness and provide them with an encouraging work environment. Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources is careful in selecting the companies to join Waffer Discounts Programme, based on the wishes of the employees themselves in order to achieve the highest levels of satisfaction and happiness.
The importance of this agreement lies in its contribution to achieve integrated living welfare for the employee, as it targets the travel sector, considered a vital and widely consumed sector among employees, witnessing a vital boom worldwide today.
